Discovery workshop
A half day with your HR team producing the configuration specification your HR head signs off. A site walkthrough is added on the same trip where a plant or research facility is in scope.

We do not have a Hyderabad office. Our delivery team works from Perungudi, Chennai, roughly an hour by air, and we travel to Hyderabad for the parts of a project where being physically present changes the outcome.
On a typical engagement that means four visits, set out below. Everything between those visits runs remotely: configuration build, data migration and reconciliation, integration work and custom development. That is how most software implementation works and it works well. We would rather set out that trade-off plainly than claim a local presence we do not have.

Once the system is built, we return to review configuration against the signed-off specification before user acceptance testing begins.
Run as three separate sessions for HR administrators, managers and employees, each covering what that group actually needs to do in the system.
Support at go-live for the first payroll cycle, when questions arrive fastest and a ticket queue resolves in days what a person on site resolves in minutes.

Hyderabad has an unusual employer mix: pharmaceutical manufacturing older than the technology sector, an IT corridor that now rivals Bangalore, and one of the densest concentrations of global capability centres in the country. Each wants something different from an HRMS.
Formulations and API manufacturers around Jeedimetla, Bollaram, Patancheru and Medchal need HR records that double as inspection records: qualification, training currency and SOP acknowledgement with a full audit trail.
Genome Valley and Shamirpet research organisations need project-linked time capture and qualification tracking for a mix of permanent, fixed-term and seconded scientific staff.
HITEC City, Madhapur, Kondapur and Gachibowli companies need timesheets that reconcile against client billing, bench tracking and correct handling of the ESI wage threshold as salaries progress.
Hyderabad's dense GCC population needs Indian statutory handling that the parent group's enterprise HCM does not provide, plus roster planning for round-the-clock operations.
The Adibatla corridor combines shift-based manufacturing with security-sensitive employment, where clearance tracking and controlled access to records matter more than in most industries.
The T-Hub ecosystem typically arrives at forty to two hundred employees and needs leave accrual, approval hierarchy and permissions configured right the first time, since those are expensive to change later.
Deep, opinionated talent management with sophisticated succession planning is faster on a specialist platform. Under about fifteen employees with a simple leave policy, an HRMS rollout may not repay its own effort yet. A regulatory requirement for a validated computerised system with formal installation and operational qualification documentation is a compliance conversation to have first, and we will have it honestly rather than after signature. And if leadership will not sponsor the change internally, no HRMS succeeds, because adoption is a management problem rather than a software problem.
This is the reason a Genome Valley or Patancheru employer would choose this page over any competitor. Nothing else in the Hyderabad Zoho People search results addresses HR in a regulated manufacturing environment.
A defensible link between a person, a role, the training that role requires, and evidence the training was completed and remains current. Training is assigned automatically by role or department rather than by someone maintaining a list, which is what survives HR team turnover. We build the report showing qualification status for a given set of operators over a given period during implementation, not during an inspection.
Document assignment and acknowledgement tracking for a revised procedure, tied to a specific document revision rather than to the document generally, with reporting on who has not yet acknowledged so the gap is visible before it becomes a finding.
Zoho People maintains audit history on record changes and role-based visibility controls. We document the configured access model as a project deliverable, so when an auditor asks who could view or alter qualification records, there is a written answer rather than a live demonstration.
A Banjara Hills office and a Bollaram unit run two workforces with almost nothing in common. Both sit in one system for reporting and payroll, with separate configuration underneath. Getting the employment type and location structure right at the start avoids rebuilding the reporting layer later.
Contract labour is often a large share of headcount at API and formulations units. It is configured as a distinct employment type with its own statutory treatment and reporting, since provident fund applicability differs across contractor arrangements.
Hyderabad has one of the largest GCC populations in India, and a GCC has a genuinely distinct HR problem that no competitor page currently addresses.
The typical Hyderabad GCC runs Workday, SuccessFactors or a comparable platform globally, and the Indian entity needs something the parent system does not do well. Enterprise per-employee licensing across a several-hundred-person Indian entity often costs more than the value it returns, and Indian statutory localisation is substantial. The pattern that works is Zoho People as the India-layer system of record for operational HR, leave, attendance and statutory processing, with a defined data relationship upward to the global platform.
Provident fund with ECR generation, ESI, Telangana professional tax, TDS with Form 16, gratuity accrual and the labour welfare fund are not things a global HCM handles natively. Zoho People with Zoho Payroll closes that gap locally while the group platform keeps doing what it does well.
Three things to settle during discovery: what data moves upward and on what frequency, built through the Zoho People API rather than by hand; who at the parent can see Indian employee data; and where the account sits, since Zoho's regional data centre choice at signup matters for any group with a data residency position. For groups under SOC 2, ISO 27001 or a customer security review, we document the configured access model as a deliverable.
The word that matters is defined. Where the data relationship between the parent HCM and the India layer is left to emerge, what emerges is a monthly spreadsheet someone maintains by hand.
The national picture is covered on our Zoho People Partner in India page. This section covers what is specific to Telangana, none of which appears anywhere in the current search results.
Zoho People is the HRMS and Zoho Payroll is the statutory engine. Zoho People holds employee records, leave, attendance and documents; Zoho Payroll, licensed separately, performs the calculations and produces the filings. They integrate natively so attendance, leave without pay, overtime and reimbursements flow into salary processing without a manual step. A Hyderabad implementation that configures Zoho People without Zoho Payroll alongside leaves the hardest part unsolved.
Telangana levies professional tax at state level with its own slab structure and filing calendar, differing from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Many Hyderabad businesses operate across the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh boundary, and the two states maintain separate registrations despite their shared history. Zoho Payroll handles this through location-based configuration, set up deliberately per location.
Contributions from both employee and employer are collected on an annual cycle rather than monthly, so the deduction does not surface during the first months of a new payroll configuration. Eligibility depends on employee category and wage level. We configure and validate it against your existing payroll output during setup, rather than waiting for the cycle to arrive.
Two practical Hyderabad issues stand out: the ESI wage threshold crossing common in technology employers, and which wage components form the provident fund base for employees above the statutory wage ceiling. Pharmaceutical salary structures with shift and hazard allowances need a defined treatment rather than a default.
Registration, working hours, leave entitlements and statutory register formats are handled through configuration and document management. Manufacturing units operate under factories legislation rather than shops and establishments, so a company with both an office and a plant is subject to both, with different leave entitlements and different registers for each.
Each state brings its own professional tax configuration, welfare fund treatment and register formats. Leave policy satisfies the most generous applicable requirement per location rather than one company-wide rule, and each legal entity needs its own establishment codes while leadership still wants consolidated reporting. We validate every multi-state configuration against your last three completed payroll cycles before go-live, comparing line by line, which is the artefact your auditor will ask for.
Six areas of the city, each with a real configuration issue rather than a generic description.
Hybrid attendance for leave accounting rather than presence monitoring, project-linked timesheets reconciling against client billing, and onboarding built to absorb a hiring wave. Geofence radius needs care in large campus buildings.
Dominated by global capability centres. Requirements skew toward an access model that survives a parent-company security review, with reporting consolidated globally while remaining separated for Indian statutory purposes.
Research, biotech and contract research. Project and study-linked time capture, qualification and safety training tracking, and a mixed population of permanent, fixed-term and seconded staff.
Formulations and API manufacturing. Rotating shift rosters, biometric readers at multiple gates, contract workforce alongside permanent staff, and the full regulated training and qualification requirement. A site walkthrough before designing attendance configuration is not optional here.
Precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing. Shift-based production combined with background verification, clearance tracking and document expiry monitoring as an operational control.
A mixed commercial base of trading, distribution and services businesses, many family-run and moving off HR software a decade old. The work here is usually migration, and the hard part is data quality in the source system.
The full seven-step method with cleansing sequence and reconciliation controls is on our Zoho People Partner page. What follows is what matters most in practice.
Employee master data, departments, designations, locations and reporting hierarchy export cleanly from most systems. Leave balances load as opening balance adjustments at a fixed cut-off date rather than replayed as transaction history. Current-period attendance moves across; historical attendance is archived rather than migrated.
Anything statutory. Professional tax, provident fund, ESI and labour welfare fund configuration cannot be exported and reimported; it is rebuilt in Zoho Payroll against your establishment codes and reconciled against source output. Salary structures need rebuilding rather than importing. Regulated employers also need a custom form for training and qualification history.
No competitor in this search set publishes an implementation figure at all. Straight numbers for the actual product stand out.
| Edition | Per employee, per month | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Free | ₹0 | Core employee records for very small teams |
| Essential HR | ₹105 | HR records, onboarding and employee self-service |
| Professional | ₹170 | Adds attendance, leave tracking and timesheets |
| Premium | ₹255 | Adds performance appraisal and case management |
| Enterprise | ₹380 | Adds learning management, compensation and advanced analytics |
Figures are per employee per month on annual billing and exclude 18% GST, generally reclaimable as input tax credit by registered businesses. Zoho Payroll is licensed separately and required for statutory processing. Most Hyderabad businesses between fifty and three hundred employees land on Professional or Premium plus Zoho Payroll. Pharmaceutical and life sciences employers needing the learning module for training records generally need Enterprise from the start.
| Engagement | One-time implementation | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Startup (under 50 employees) | ₹65,000 | Single entity, one leave policy, clean data, two to three week go-live. Configuration, data import, UAT, training and two weeks of hypercare. |
| Business (50 to 500 employees) | ₹65,000 – ₹2.5 lakh | Multiple leave and attendance policies, payroll integration with Telangana statutory configuration, historical data migration with full reconciliation, and thirty days of hypercare through the first payroll cycle. |
| Enterprise (500+ employees) | ₹3 lakh and above | Multi-entity and multi-state programmes phased by entity, plant and office populations, custom Deluge development, API and biometric integrations, and documented access and training models for inspection readiness. |
The full phase breakdown with week counts and sign-off gates is on our Zoho People Partner page. This is how travel and site work fit around it.
Covers headcount, entity structure, states you employ in, whether a plant or research facility is in scope, what you are moving from, whether payroll is included and your attendance environment. Regulated employers should bring whoever owns training and qualification records.
Typically a half day, with a site walkthrough added where there is a plant.
Runs two to four weeks, with a mid-project review on site.
Runs in parallel; you receive the reconciliation report as a document rather than an assurance.
Three separate sessions covering HR administrators, managers and employees.
Scheduled at a natural boundary, ideally the start of a leave year or payroll month, with someone present in Hyderabad for the first payroll run. Where payroll is in scope, the parallel cycle and full reconciliation happen before the old system is switched off.
A short comparison. The full side-by-side table is on our India pillar page.
Payroll-first and India-first, with the deepest native statutory handling of the three and a free tier at low headcount. A legitimate choice if payroll accuracy and filing reliability are your only real pain point.
Better out-of-the-box employee experience, packaging HR, payroll and engagement with less configuration effort, so it often feels finished faster. Common on Hyderabad technology company shortlists.
Targets the enterprise upper end and is a genuine contender above roughly a thousand employees with a dedicated HR technology function. Below that, Zoho People delivers most of the outcome at a fraction of the cost.
Zoho People implementation for Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Telangana businesses, delivered from Chennai with on-site workshops, site walkthroughs, training and go-live support in Hyderabad. Bring your headcount, your leave policy, the states you employ in, and if you run a plant or research facility, whoever owns training and qualification records. You will leave the call with a realistic view of scope, timeline and cost, whether or not you engage us.
